On September 8, 2025, a decomposing body was found by the Los Angeles police in the singer/songwriter D4vd’s impounded Tesla. The corpse was found to be a 15-year-old girl.
David Anthony Burke, commonly known by his stage name D4vd, is a 20 year old New York born singer famous for songs “Romantic Homicide” and “Feel It.”
The police were called to a Hollywood tow yard after hearing reports of a foul odor coming from the back of a car. The police would find the decomposed body of 15 year old Celeste Rivas. Unfortunately, the corpse was severely decomposed, resulting in authorities unable to identify the cause of death. The body was hidden in the Tesla’s front trunk and was cut into many pieces. The body was found a day after what would have been her 15th birthday.
Rivas, a California native was reported missing in April 2024, during the time she was only 13. She was last seen at Lake Elsinore California before she disappeared.
Evidence from law enforcement and the media suggests that Burke and Rivas may have had a connection, possibly romantic. Further details potentially link D4vd to the death, suggesting he was involved with the situation.
Rivas and Burke both shared a tattoo reading “Shhh…” on their right index fingers. This tattoo is not unique to Burke though, many other celebrities such as Rihanna, Lindsay Lohan, and Lily Allen also share this tattoo. Celeste’s mother also commented that Celeste had a boyfriend named David at the time of her disappearance.
Security footage of Burke’s car was found parked at its usual location on July 29th. The car would remain there for one month until Burke’s neighbor filed a complaint on August 29th. Just a few days later on September 5th, the car would be towed to the impound, and the body would be later discovered.
The Tesla was found near Burke’s Hollywood Hills mansion, which he had been renting for $20,000 per month. The landlord of this apartment hired a private investigator, Steve Fisher, to investigate what truly happened. According to Fisher, artist D4vd had “‘farm’ tools which ‘could be used to get rid of a body.’” Fisher added, “These are items that belong more on a farm than in a home. It would make no sense to even own these things.” This discovery did not help sway the media that Burke was truly innocent.
Burke has cancelled his latest tour dates and says he is cooperating with the police.
The police report that D4vd is not a suspect at this moment; however, the media still doubts his innocence.
