With summer just around the corner, many people have a valid concern: not having enough to do in their new free time. With this summer marking its 11th season, Seaport Sweat offers free workout classes to all who join the qualified instructors on the Seaport common. Classes run every weekday, with Saturdays marking special workouts. Additionally, all fitness levels are welcome, with classes ranging in intensity and participants of all abilities.
Boston Pride Parade
The annual Boston Pride Parade, taking place on June 6, has been moved up a week to accommodate the upcoming FIFA World Cup. All are welcome to attend this momentous event. The parade begins at 11 am in Copley Square and winds down in Boston Common. Food trucks, live music, performances, and vendor booths will also be available
Fresh Seafood
Boston, while well-known for its clam chowder, offers a variety of fresh seafood complemented by its location in Boston Harbor. From lobster rolls to fried clams, you can’t go wrong with the city’s iconic dishes.

Boston Pizza Festival
Exactly what it sounds like, located at City Plaza from June 21-22, Boston Pizza Plaza is heaven for pizza-lovers. Entry includes a $10 fee, which provides for 2 pizza slice tickets. More slice packages are available for purchase as well. The event includes over 30 pizzerias from the Greater Boston area, New England, and even Italy. Included as well is live entertainment, pizza-making displays, and a pizza-eating competition.
Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival
From July 25 – 27, this annual event will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution this year. The event gathers world-class sculptors and artists from around the globe to showcase their talents and celebrate their cultures. Along with intricate sculptures, food vendors and trucks, interactive activities, and fireworks are present.
Free Friday Flicks at the Hatch Shell
Last but not least, Back Bay’s Hatch Shell offers family-friendly outdoor films every Friday from June 10 – August 21. Movies begin at sundown, and all ages are welcome. Additional locations, such as Salisbury Beach, Sylvester Baxter Park, and City Square Park offer similar-type movies on other days.
