This summer, on July 17th, Lincoln-Sudbury senior Owen Coyne experienced the chance of a lifetime after he was invited on stage by country star Zach Bryan. A beloved tradition at Zach Bryan concerts is for one fan to be invited on stage to sing “Heading South” with Zach. Hundreds of people line up in an area beside the stage called “the pit” for a chance to be selected. Owen arrived at 5 a.m. alongside fellow dedicated fans to ensure he was at the front of the line. After holding up his handmade sign all night, Owen was asked to join Zach Bryan on stage.“It was a surreal feeling, looking out to see 60,000 people,” Coyne described the moment he was called on stage. After Coyne finished his part of “Heading South,” he was met with thunderous applause and encouragement from the crowd. “It was crazy, after I went on stage I gained a ton of followers on Instagram and other social media platforms.” Owen Coyne got a brief moment after the song to thank Zach Bryan for having him. “It’s something I’ll never forget,” said Coyne.
