Once again, the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors braved the winter season with impressive performances across various sports, showcasing exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the competition.
The LS boys hockey team finished with a record of 7-11, and in the playoff season achieved a big upset against #13 Saint John’s Shrewsbury, beating them 5-3. The team also had notable wins against the Wellesley Raiders, winning 7-1, and the Framingham Flyers, winning 6-2. Unfortunately, their streak came to an end against #3 Hingham in round 32 of the playoffs.
Similar to the boys puck, the LS girls hockey team ended with a 5-11-2 record. During the regular season, the team had an impressive defeat of Concord Carlisle, scoring 8 goals against CC’s 1, and this first game set their season off strong. In the playoffs, the girls continued this energy in their upset against Andover, and fought hard through overtime against Bishop Feehan, unfortunately losing in the second round.
With an impressive record of 17-5, the girls varsity basketball team secured the number 2 ranking in the DCL for the 24-25 winter season. The playoffs started off strong in their defeat of Hopkinton 45-39, however the girls had a tough loss to Wachusett Regional to end their season.
The boys varsity basketball team did not disappoint either, and their record of 16-4 ranked them number 3 in the DCL. Their initial defeat of Acton Boxborough layed a spirited foundation for the games to come, and the team carried themselves all the way to the second round in the playoffs. The boys secured a win against Arlington in the first round, but had a tough loss against Lowell to complete the season.
Not to be overlooked, the LS ski teams, both alpine and nordic, had yet another great season on the slopes. Both boys and girls alpine ranked first with 6-1 records in the Mass Bay West Ski league, adding the year 2025 to the list of championships.
