Moses Sibley, a junior at LS, directs and produces films, music videos, documentaries, and much more; his brother, King David, is a very talented singer and songwriter. When working together, this dynamic duo creates amazing art to share within and far beyond their community. 

Recently, Moses has been working on his “biggest project yet!” He mentioned that this is something he has never seen himself doing and that he is very excited about what is in store for this upcoming year. He says that it is a documentary-styled project that has to do with many important figures. 

Last summer, Moses flew out to Atlanta and participated in the National Keystone Conference to display one of his very successful documentaries to Boys & Girls Clubs all around the country. He gained a lot of exposure to his work from all over the US and brought a lot of news attention in his direction. 

Moses mentioned that he is very interested in continuing a career in directing and would like to attend NYU or the University of Southern California after high school. He would like to go into the marketing field, as film production goes hand in hand with launching a career in different atmospheres of film production, 

He says that what keeps him driven is mostly his mother. Moses states that she put him in the greatest position for success and that she is his number one fan. He also mentions that his passion for film-making drives his motivation. Being able to put your all into something and see your work pay off is an amazing feeling. 

The brothers both love to work creatively. Moses mentions that he and King rarely run into any issues as they are very compassionate towards each other and care deeply about their work. Moses says, “We collaborate and share creativity between both of us.” 

So far in Moses’ career, his biggest award was the 2022 Scout International Film Festival. His movie, “Mattapan the Documentary,” was about his hometown and was deemed “The best documentary under 18.” Moses mentions that he loves the press and media he receives, and he gets a lot of attention from many different outlets. Moses states, “It is amazing to have an idea and it leads to all of your hard work being paid off.”
