The treasured Learning Express store located in Sudbury, Massachusetts has recently closed down, which many local residents were disappointed about. Due to the rent being very high, Learning Express decided it was time to close. When they were younger, many students would go to this beloved store to purchase toys, games, and many fun stuffed animals for events such as birthday parties.
When asking LS students about their opinion on the store closing one student stated, “Whenever I would walk into the store it would have this nostalgic feeling like I was a little kid. It made me remember my childhood in a way I haven’t felt before.” Some students even mentioned how they hadn’t been there for a long time due to the stress of high school. In addition, the closing of Learning Express reminds them of how their childhood is coming to an end. Another student explained, “I worked at Learning Express and it was so sad seeing not as many people coming to the stores as I remembered as a kid.” A couple students said they went there to purchase stress toys such as the NeeDoh stress toys that Learning Express sold. It is clear to see that Learning Express has made an everlasting impact on many LS students.
