Traffic is an ongoing issue for many students at LS, whether students are taking the bus to get to school or driving by car. A lot of students say that they arrive just in time for class, and many are usually late. Classes start at 8:30, but students are still arriving at their classrooms or even having their buses arrive–at or after 8:30. Many students complain that buses arriving late are becoming more of an issue, as teachers are becoming stricter with giving out tardies and cuts this year. One student in particular stated, “I never want to take the bus in the morning, since it’s always late, and also because I arrive most of the time at 8:30”.  This is the case for many students who take the bus to school. Another student who drives to school explains how “I have to leave my house at a certain time every day, or else I get stuck behind the traffic piled up by the light near CJs, which usually delays me at least 10 minutes”. Many more students drive to school which causes more traffic to occur especially during the mornings. This issue was not as prevalent in past years, so this year it is seen as an even bigger issue.
