ATTENTION 9TH GRADERS: The LS Student Senate is currently organizing elections for this year’s 9th graders. They are looking for determined, hardworking student leaders to represent the class of 2028 in the Student Senate. The primary role of the Student Senate is to advocate for the interests of the student body and the wider LS community. In this position, they work to ensure that student voices are heard and represented. Furthermore, the Senate acts as a connector between students and LS faculty, facilitating communication and representing student perspectives in administrative decision-making processes. This connection helps to ensure that student needs and concerns are addressed within the school’s governance.
If you would be interested in running for a seat on the Student Senate, please email a candidacy statement to [email protected] by 8:30 AM on Tuesday, October 1. Your statement should be no more than 300 words and answer the following questions:

What do you feel that you could bring to the Senate?
The online elections will take place from Wednesday, October 2 to Wednesday, October 9.
